Did you know that the historic town of Seneca Falls, NY is just up the road from Hammerstone? This is where the first Women’s Rights Convention was held, an effort which ultimately led to the winning of women’s suffrage. While women have gained many more rights since the 1800’s, we still have a lot of work to reach full equality in our culture, work Hammerstone is honored to participate in.
We were therefore thrilled to be asked to collaborate with the National Women’s Hall of Fame as they celebrate Convention Days, marking 100 years of women’s full voting rights in the state of New York, and raise money for their new home in the Seneca Knitting Mill.
